Idaho Power Energy Plan
Idaho Power will host a public meeting on Nov. 13 to present its 2006 Energy Plan for the future, also known as an Integrated Resource Plan, and to hear public comments on the document.
This year’s energy plan was provided to the Idaho and Oregon public utilities commissions at the end of September for the regulators’ review and acceptance. Both regulatory commissions require utilities operating in their respective states to file plans every two years.
Idaho Power’s energy plan outlines how the company will meet future growth and the resources needed to meet that growth. The document looks ahead 20 years at growth and the costs associated with providing the infrastructure to serve as many as 500,000 customers by the year 2026.
“We all have a stake in our energy future,” said Idaho Power Manager of Power Supply Planning Mark Stokes. “These public meetings give our customers an opportunity to learn about our plans and how they may be affected.”
The
meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at the
following location:
The
Holiday Inn
1399
Bench Rd.
Pocatello

Power representatives will present an in-depth overview of the 2006

questions from the public.
