The Idaho-Utah Section of the
American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) is calling for nominations of
outstanding Idaho science teachers for the 5th annual Micron Outstanding
Science Teacher Awards. Thanks to a grant from Micron Technology, three
Idaho teachers will receive cash awards of $250 for outstanding science
teaching. The award categories are:
(1) Outstanding physics
teacher
(2) Outstanding science teacher
One award will be given in
the first category and two in the second. The awards will be presented at the
annual meeting of the ISTA in October 2005. If you know of an outstanding
science teacher in need of recognition, please nominate them for one or more
of these awards. The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 16,
at 5:00 pm. Award nomination forms are available at
