1.      November 8 - “I See Stars!”  When you look into the night sky have you ever wondered what is really out there?  Join us, as we venture into space, and learn about planets, globular clusters, galaxies and more! Joy Reece, Elementary Education student, Tuesday, November 8, 4:00 - 5:30 pm, 1st - 3rd grade, Museum Classroom 204, Cost:  $15.00 per student

2.      November 16 - “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!”  Do you ever wonder what stars are made of?  Join us for a fun-filled afternoon, and find out!  Joy Reece, Elementary Education student, Wednesday, November 16, 4:00 - 5:00 pm, PreK – Kindergarten, Museum Classroom 204, Cost:  $15.00 per student

3.      November 28 - “Who's Been There? . . . tracking Idaho's wildlife.”  Come help solve the mystery of what animal has been where.  Examine animal tracks and signs from four Idaho animals and make an animal track T-shirt!  Nyssa Haneveer, Elementary Education student, Monday, November 28, 4:00 - 5:30 pm, 1st - 3rd Grade, Museum Classroom 204, Cost:  $15.00 per student

 

Upcoming Lecture for Adults and Teens:

1.      November 29 - “Hurricanes and Global Warming” - We will explore the science behind the suggested link between the warming of our atmosphere and oceans, and the severity and frequency of hurricanes.  Dr. Dean Hazen, Science and Operations Officer, National Weather Service Tuesday, November 29, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, ISU Campus, Physical Sciences Building, lecture room 140.  Free and Open to the Public

 

Upcoming Dinosaur Class at ISU!  A 3-credit course open to majors and non-majors that features a basic introduction to the Dinosaurs.  The class will use 2 great textbooks “Dinosaurs – The Science behind the Stories” and The Evolution and Extinction of the Dinosaurs.”  Class held Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 – 5:00.  Instructor Ralph Chapman, IMNH Affiliate Curator of Paleontology, 282-5420.
