Morning session: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
8:00 – 9:00: lecture on
fish fossils common to the Snake River plain
9:00 – 9:30: discussion
9:30 – 10:00: coffee, snacks, networking
10:00 – 12:00: fossil
identification
Afternoon session*: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
1:00 –
2:00 p.m.: lecture on fish fossils common to the Snake River plain
2:00 – 2:30 p.m.: discussion
2:30 – 3:00 p.m.: coffee, snacks,
networking
3:00 – 5:00: fossil identification
*repeat of morning
session, no charge if paid for morning session
Monday April 18: Owyhee County field trip to collect
fossils
8:00: meet in parking lot west of Boone Hall (bring field lunch,
water, small backpack)
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: field trip to Owyhee County
south of Boise to collect fish fossils
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: return to
Boone Hall
